December 2009 Contest

Just to update the blog since last time. I got an honorable mention (and a $50.00 gift certificate) for the Strip Wood Contest...the Conservatory.

After that, I did the HBS contest that started with the following kit.

We could make it into anything we wanted...just like the Red Door Mill that I did earlier. I chose to make it into a Cleopatra scene.

We had to send in photos by December 15, 2009. Unfortunately I didn't read the instructions closely enough and they wanted...get this...ACTUAL photos...not email attachments...go figure. So I didn't get to enter this contest but I DID learn a valuable lesson. I know I should have learned it a LONG time ago but hey chalk it up to I'm entering my second childhood...lol
